Years 7 and 8 – English Writing and Study Skills – Holiday Workshop
Suitable for Year 7 and 8 students only
ENGLISH – General English Study Skills
This course is designed for Year 7 and 8 students who struggle or wish to improve their writing, both formally and informally. Students will be guided through the process showing them English is like maths – a formula. Developing good writing skills is essential for educational and lifelong success. Especially important as English is the only compulsory subject in the HSC.
- Essay format and writing
- Higher modality language
- How to remember and utilise quotes
- Character building for imaginative writing
- How to analyse poetry.
Held
The following dates have been nominated for the upcoming holidays;
– Monday 17 January and Tuesday 18 January from 1pm – 3pm.

Workshops are usually held as 2 x half day (2 hour) workshops and includes a light snack and all resources needed.
