Kierin
Hi, my name is Kierin!
I completed my Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Teaching at the
University of Newcastle in 2003.
In 2004, I spent a year in the
Northern Territory, teaching a Year 3 class in Alice Springs. During this time,
I travelled extensively throughout the Top End. I had great adventures
and have many stories of outback shenanigans!
I am currently working as a casual
teacher in the Newcastle and Central Coast areas, and I’m enjoying this immensely!
I have always had a passion for teaching, as I feel it is such a rewarding
experience to be able to help a child.
I love to read! Coming from a family
where my mother is an author – it comes naturally! I will read everything and
anything. My favourites are books that will make me laugh! I love a good
'Chick
Lit' book, and I am happy to bury myself in a biography or two when I get the
chance! I also love to dabble in writing myself. And I love
music.
I dream of travelling. I am yet to set
foot in Europe, but it’s on my wish list!
Working at Arrendell is a valuable
experience for both the child and the teacher. A lot can be learnt through the
eyes of a child!
