An Exposition

In this exposition I am hoping to explain to you why Harry Potter books, from one to four, are among the best in young adult literature, not ruling out The Hobbit.

Firstly, I think this is one of the finest pieces of literature of the twentieth century.  Through the way J.K. Rowling expresses the wizards and the witches throughout the book, by the use of magic and as we would call it, 'witchcraft'.

Secondly, I've always wanted to do so many things in this book, like cast spells, fly on a broom stick, walk through walls, disintegrate, have a dragon as a pet, send messages and letters by owls and look in a pen sieve and see the past through memories.

Thirdly, in this book, the author is making moguls look irresponsible.  If they had the power of a good wizard, they would be able to rob banks at the wave of a wand, kill people in a second and torture anyone without touching them.

Finally, Harry Potter is a great piece of literature as enforced in the top four points.  It's pleasure lies in the fact that you can escape into the world of fantasy - then return to the real world.
